Missed Bits: Will Oldham, Jack White and Eminem

The power went out at 2pm PST today, keeping us from posting a bunch of cool stories, but these bits are gonna be stale by tomorrow, so feast away…

Will Oldham gave The Onion’s A.V. Club one of his best interviews to date (if you haven’t seen Ian Svenonius’ Soft Focus interviews, go. here. now.). He calls Wes Anderson a “cancer,” but praises the Farrelly brothers and the film Milk. Worth reading, even if you’re not a Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy fan. Thataway.

Jack White, Allison Mosshart and the rest of the ghostly Dead Weather gang gave their first interview to Self-Titled, talking about a possible White Stripes movie and more here.

Eminem said he’s hip-hop’s saviour. “You know, in them three years, it was like everybody just cares about the hook and the beat; nobody really cares about substance.” Hmmm. More from Slim Shady over at XXL.

A Singer from German girl group No Angels was arrested for allegedly infecting someone with HIV and possibly others without informing them of her illness. BBC News is on the case.

FYI: While we look for cool stories to post, there’s a lot of exciting stuff we come across. We just started randomly breaking news bits on Twitter, so follow us and get the scoop.
