A blog post on Matador Records’ site cryptically reads, “Julian Plenti is… Skyscraper,” with a picture of Interpol frontman Paul Banks wearing glasses and a mustache. It turns out that Plenti has been Banks’ alter ego for past solo performances and is also his alias for his forthcoming solo album, Skyscraper.
Billboard says that the album includes some songs written more than ten years ago and has a “cocky, sexy” feel, but a few cuts sound more like Interpol.
