Ever since Pavement announced their reunion (and farewell tour, essentially), I’ve assumed that a lengthy car ride, airplane trip, and a big chunk of cash were the only things in the way of me seeing one of my favorite bands. And then, out of the blue, news breaks that Stephen Malkmus, Scott “Spiral Stairs” Kannberg, and the boys are going to be playing at Berkeley, CA’s Greek Theatre, which is… wait for it… 4 blocks from my place. Amazing.
