One month ago today, we broke the news that Bright Eyes and Neva Dinova have teamed up to record new songs for a full-length reissue of their 2004 collaborative EP, One Jug of Wine, Two Vessels. A teaser video soon followed, but now we finally have a full song to download, and, I must say, it was worth the wait.
Fuck Noise Rock (via Stereogum) is offering an MP3 of “Happy Accident” from the forthcoming reissue that will hit shelves on March 23. The album can be purchased/shipped now via the official Saddle Creek store.
As much as I enjoyed Conor Oberst’s solo material the past couple years, it’s quite refreshing to hear new Bright Eyes material and also have proof that there is, in fact, a difference between Oberst’s previous moniker and his recent endeavors. Perhaps I just enjoy the slight emo-esque sounds of Bright Eyes of old.
