I’d be remiss in not sharing this clip of Chan Marshall previewing new Cat Power material in San Francisco last month, which was just added to our now 4-song collection of live footage from the show. It’s unclear what the first tune’s title might be (the second one is 2003 You Are Free cut “Good Woman,” of course), but per a YouTube commenter and a ‘06 New York Times piece, it’s possible that the song (and forthcoming LP?) is called “Sun.” Either way, enjoy the moody, baritone guitar-backed take above or alongside 3 more promising gems here.
