The Rosebuds – “Woods” (Official Video)

In which Ivan Howard and Kelly Crisp’s North Carolina duo the Rosebuds treat their new Loud Planes Fly Low single, “Woods,” with evocative footage of a surfer taking on icy waves amid a sky leaden with overcast. Off-focus, lo-fi shots of Howard singing from an unknown location couple with a disorienting underwater camera’s point of view to echo the tune’s tumultuous feel. Not sure why I’ve slept on the new Rosebuds LP a bit, but this clip makes a great case for giving it a fresh spin and diving in headfirst.
