Surfing around Bandcamp the other day, I came across this gem from Francis, a Swedish indie-folk-pop quartet that released their debut, Lekomberg, We Were Kin, earlier in the summer. Fans of First Aid Kit, Amanda Bergman, or Cat Power might be similarly moved by “Time On Our Side,” a gorgeous ballad that showcases frontwoman Petra Mases’ emotive, ethereal vocals over sparse percussion before building toward climactic chorus swells amid a warm bed of harmonies from the full band.
