Hardcore/post-hardcore pioneer Ian MacKaye and Amy Farina return this month as the Evens, following up their 2006 LP, Get Evens, with a new single and news of an LP in the works for 2012. Picking up in remarkably familiar territory from where they left off, “Warble Factor” b/w “Timothy Wright” finds the bare-bones duo settling into their tight, trademark exercise in indignant restraint, complete with a few rousing harmonies. Today, Dischord shared a stream of the A-side ahead of the 7”/digital release.
