Swedish singer-songwriter Anna Ternheim has one of the best new voices I’ve heard since last fall, not to mention a list of collaborators on her latest LP, The Night Visitor, that could comprise a personal dream team in the studio: Matt Sweeney (who produced the set), Will Oldham, and Dave Ferguson (an engineer whose work you’ve heard on Johnny Cash’s seminal American series). What’s more, Peter Townsend — of I See a Darkness and Superwolf fame — handles the drums here.
