In January, we introduced Aaron Embry by way of a modest, tenor guitar-backed take on “Your Heart And Mine,” an original cut sewn together by his timeless sense of melody and tender vocals. More promising tunes followed in live form, but now the studio record is done, dubbed Tiny Prayers and set for release on September 18th via Community Music. The first single, “Moon Of The Daylit Sky,” surfaced today, and it’s a relief to hear it conjure the same sparse, bare-room mood as the preview material while fleshing out the arrangement a bit with whisper-soft percussion and hints of harmonica.
