Ben Folds Five Reunion Album Announced

Ben Folds Five Reunion AlbumBen Folds Five broke a 12-year hiatus last year to put new songs to tape for a 3-disc retrospective… and then kept recording. Now, 10 original tunes and a regular log of updates later, the trio’s first all-original LP since 2009’s The Unauthorized Biography of Reinhold Messner is set for September 18th. Speaking of updates from the studio, Folds shared one track-in-progress off The Sound Of The Life Of The Mind back in May, an uptempo reminder of classic BFF called “Do It Anyway.”

Folds, Robert Sledge (whose familiar fuzz-bass remains gloriously intact), and Darren Jessee will also tour this fall, with tickets being snatched up quickly here. In the meantime, preview the new song list and preview cut below:
