Eddi Front, ‘Into My Arms’ (Nick Cave Cover)

Ivana Carrescia’s debut EP as Eddi Front arrives next week via Best Fit Recordings, complete with album art (left) featuring a great old photo of her mother and this stirring cover of Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds’ “Into My Arms.” From “Texas” to “Gigantic,” the 4-song set includes three immensely promising originals, as well — all haunting piano ballads led by gorgeous, wistful vocals that should please fans of Sharon Van Etten, Perfume Genius, and the like.
