On the heels of Mark Kozelek’s Late Night debut under his Sun Kil Moon moniker last week, details for two early 2013 releases — a new studio covers record and live album — have been revealed. First up, February 19th will bring Like Rats, a 13-track set featuring renditions of the Misfits’ “Green Hell,” Sonny & Cher hit “I Got You Babe,” Bad Brains’ “I,” Josh Turner’s “Time Is Love,” and more.
Also due that day via Caldo Verde Records is Kozelek’s June 11, 2012 live performance at Melbourne’s Phoenix Public House. The live set is comprised of songs off this year’s Among the Leaves, a few Sun Kil Moon/Red House Painters favorites, and previously unreleased original “You Missed My Heart.”
