Weary Engine Blues — a new covers collection for the late Jason Molina — arrived with William Schaff’s excellent Molina Map illustration last week via Graveface Records. The screenprint has since sold out, but physical copies of the double album remain available, 19 tracks of which can now be bought digitally with all proceeds from either purchase going to Molina’s family. Above, hear a beautiful, heartbreaking standout from the set by Molina’s former tourmate: Damien Jurado performing “I’ve Been Riding with the Ghost” off Songs: Ohia’s Steve Albini-produced Magnolia Electric Co. LP. Other notable tributes include Will Oldham covering “Gypsy He-Witch,” Scout Niblett’s take on “Cabwaylingo,” and many more. Last month we heard the opening track, Mark Kozelek honoring his late friend with a solo-acoustic version of “It’s Easier Now.”
