Foxygen — the psych-rock duo whose breakout year approached Brian Jonestown Massacre proportions upon getting kicked out of Wilco’s Solid Sound Festival last month — already have a side-project due. It’s promising stuff, though, as Jonathan Rado goes solo in September with Law and Order, an LP drawing on a few ’60s influences his other project has yet to mine. This week’s preview cut, “Hand in Mine,” recalls beloved duet partners (from Gainsbourg and Bardot to Hazlewood and Sinatra, et al.) we heard Binki Shapiro and Adam Green tip their hats to last fall.
