Thirteen years ago, Patty Griffin recorded a 14-track set to follow her acclaimed sophomore LP, Flaming Red, before the new album went missing amid record industry limbo. She moved on with a string of great albums for ATO (and this year’s American Kid on New West), recycling some Silver Bell tracks and lending a number of its tunes to other artists. But this fall, as Direct Current reports, the long-lost set is due for official release. Look for it on October 8th, and revisit an unplugged take on the LP’s title cut below:
