Enigmatic and hugely influential producer/composer Scott Walker will be honored next month with Songs From Montague Terrace, a new tribute set featuring Sondre Lerche, Dax Riggs, Nightlands, Bright Light Bright Light, Eugene McGuinness, and more. For his part, Lerche turned in a reverent take on Walker’s 1967 B-side “The Plague,” leaving the fan favorite’s core arrangement intact while amping up the percussion and vocal parts with a distorted, almost industrial edge.
