The summer of Jens continues… First, Lekman gave us a wonderful waltz-time mixtape, then a brand new song, and now he’s singing lines from Ibsen’s Hedda Gabler to the tune of “Moviestar” by Harpo, “What Is Love” by Haddaway, and the Zorba the Greek theme by Mikis Theodorakis. All while dressed up as Kraftwerk’s Florian Schneider no less.
Appearing on an Australian quiz-comedy show earlier this month, Jens Lekman answered music trivia questions (many of which were about artists from his native Sweden), riffed with the host about Swedish accents, performed the aforementioned mashups, and told a funny story about meeting Drew Barrymore to discuss his contribution to her film Whip It.
