Robot video trend alert: First there was Spike Jonze’s I’m Here, then Sage Francis’ “Love the Lie,” and now director Rick Darge has created this brand new cyborg-starring unofficial video for LCD Soundsystem’s This Is Happening cut “Home.” This clip’s a lot more upbeat than the previous two, as it portrays an older paraplegic man inventing a bionic suit that gets stolen by a girl who wears it to attend dance parties, chill by the pool, perform at an outdoor festival, and enjoy various other forms of debauchery. In the end, the man straps on the suit himself and leaves the wheelchair at home. So many potential metaphors!
