A gorgeous, all-too-brief prelude to Mike Hadreas’ second Perfume Genius LP is here in the form of this 2-minute free download, “All Waters.” Recorded by Andrew Morgan (solo artist, Elliott Smith collaborator) and John Goodmanson (Sleater-Kinney, Los Camp producer), Put Your Back N2 It arrives on February 21 with a sound that Matador say is “as lush as Learning was stark.” To wit, the cut streaming above certainly promises a lush, ethereal set focused around Hadreas’ best musical asset: an evocative and angelic voice that recalls Antony Hegarty with a bit of Neil Young (whom he’s covered).
