As long as Julian Casablancas’ Twitter account wasn’t hacked or something, the Strokes frontman apparently dropped some exciting news this morning about the band’s fourth LP. Replying to a fan asking for a status update, Casablancas said:

Of course, some Strokes news — even when it comes directly from the band — should be taken with a grain of salt, as we’ve been waiting nearly a half-decade for the follow-up to 2006’s First Impressions of Earth and updates like this have changed in the past, not to mention bands occasionally head back to the studio after the mixing process begins.
I, for one, am still pretty psyched though.
