Bob Dylan to Donate Holiday Album Royalties to Charity

Bob Dylan’s rumored holiday LP has turned out to be true, as Rolling Stone reports that Christmas in the Heart, a collection which includes classic songsMust Be Santa,” “Little Drummer Boy,” “Winter Wonderland,” “Here Comes Santa Claus,” and more will be released by Dylan on October 13th. Check out the album’s official cover to the left.

In case you were wondering if Dylan was attempting a holiday album cash grab, the U.S. royalties for Christmas in the Heart will be donated to domestic hunger charity Feeding America and non-domestic royalties will benefit hunger charities from other parts of the world.

Normally, a Dylan Christmas album would sound a bit strange to me, but yesterday’s story about him narrating car GPS systems pretty much threw all those expectations out the window.
