The season premiere of Saturday Night Live is coming up on the 26th of this month and though Lorne Michaels may have reached out to the indie crowd late last season with the surprise selection of the Fleet Foxes, this year’s initial lineup is a bit more mainstream, aside from Regina perhaps. Sept. 26: Megan Fox/U2
Oct. 3: Ryan Reynolds/Lady Gaga
Oct. 10: Drew Barrymore/Regina Spektor
Oct. 17: Gerard Butler/Shakira
What, no Dead Weather? I actually think U2 would make a great host, as well as musical guest. Imagine the possibilities from recent headlines: “Bono and the Edge’s Spider–Man Musical”, “Florida Church Celebrates the U2charist”, “U2 Lends Coldplay Their Private Jet”.
