As a big fan of Patrick Wolf’s first three albums, Lycanthropy, Wind in the Wires, and The Magic Position, I’m holding out hope that his follow-up to last year’s The Bachelor will pick up in the exuberant pop direction where he appeared to be headed back in 2007. While our first taste from the next LP, “Time of My Life,” was a promising introduction, a handful of live previews unleashed earlier this month are what truly have me excited for Wolf’s forthcoming collection.
