Okay, it’s confession time: We totally flaked on stalking Thom Yorke this week. Fact is, I’ve known for weeks that he was set to make a live appearance on the Stupid Show from Copenhagen. Weeks, people. But what I did not foresee was the Radiohead frontman showing up in bright red pants (previously seen here), primed and ready to chat it up for YouTube-bound video snippets.
Not to mention, somebody (Godrich! *shakes fist*) rigged Yorke’s iPhone to the band’s official Dead Air Space blog for a delightful glut of run-on rants.
“[O]bama walks past with a very grim expression, everyone thought he was stroming out but no he’d just been in talks with the chinese,” reports our rock star journalist, embedded at the Copenhagen Summit. “[J]ust now a french delegate tells me that brazil has stormed out of the talks. this is all so sad.”
He’s still posting last I checked, so keep an eye out here for truly inspired updates from the New Moon soundtrack contributor. On second thought, he may be headed back to Oxfordshire at this point, as Yorke seems to have thrown in the towel, via his latest update: “I feel deeply traumatized by the whole experience.”
