Idolator tried to call us out earlier for believing Shinedown’s Brent Smith in a story about a planned Soundgarden reunion, but here we are, 2010 on the East Coast, almost the New Year at TFB HQ, and vindication is ours:
“The 12 year break is over and school is back in session,” reads an announcement at Soundgarden’s official site (via Chris Cornell’s Twitter). “To learn more, sign up now. Knights of the soundtable ride again!” I signed up, btw, and have yet to “learn more,” but deets are assuredly on the way.
This will be an interesting ‘10 reunion, to say the least, but what do you think? Is it just another cash grab or is this year’s supergroup fad becoming next year’s decentgroup trend?
