The rumors were true: Radiohead announced today that they will publish an actual newspaper to accompany the North American release of their “newspaper album,” The King of Limbs, on Tuesday, March 29 (the rest of the world will receive it on 3/28). Free copies of The Universal Sigh will be handed out by “dedicated teams of newspaper delivery people” at various locations around the world, all of which are listed with links to Google Maps on the publication’s official site.
To preemptively thwart rumors that might lead to mobs of hopeful concertgoers, the band points out that “This event IS NOT a live performance by Radiohead,” adding that they plan to offset the ecological impact of the project by using Carbon Retirement.
