New Sun Kil Moon Album, Covers EP Announced

Great news (especially for those of who have been on a huge Mark Kozelek kick ever since our recent Red House Painters mention): Caldo Verde Records announced their upcoming release of the next Sun Kil Moon album, Admiral Fell Promises, on July 13. According to the label:

This 60 minute, 10 song album of original material will be released on CD, digitally and vinyl. The vinyl version includes liner notes and 2 bonus tracks recorded live in St. Malo, France.

And to add some icing on the cake:

All direct purchases direct through the Caldo Verde website will receive a free, limited 4 song Sun Kil Moon EP entitled I’ll Be There. The EP includes covers of Stereolab, Casiotone for the Painfully Alone, and The Jackson 5.

Admiral Fell Promises will be Kozelek and company’s first official follow-up to 2008’s gorgeous LP, April, and fourth full-length release under the Sun Kil Moon moniker. I seriously can’t wait for this.
