The Killers’ Brandon Flowers Goes Solo

The rumors were true: Killers frontman Brandon Flowers has begun work on his debut solo album. A cryptic countdown, which launched earlier this week with a darkened image on the official Killers site, ended today with a bright new “Brandon Flowers” logo. If you click the “sign up” link, a pop-up image reads: “THE LATEST NEWS ON BRANDON’S SOLO ALBUM.”

A subsequent email alert sends you to his new official site, brandonflowersmusic.com, which is under construction.

This announcement comes on the heels of recent news that the band inked a brand new publishing deal with Universal Music that spans forthcoming Killers music, as well as the band members’ respective solo work. Begs the question: which Killers member will go solo next? A few of them have already joined a new alt-country collective called Mt. Desolation. *Update*: The site now says the album is called Flamingo.
