Arcade Fire Unveil The Suburbs Release Date, Album Cover

When it rains it pours in the land of Arcade Fire: Just hours after the beloved indie rock troupe dropped the first two singles off their forthcoming album, Win Butler, Régine Chassagne, Richard Reed Parry, and company have unveiled the title, release date, album art, and pre-order info for their third LP — now officially known to be called The Suburbs. In a handwritten note on their site, the so-called “Arkady Fireovitch” made the announcement.

We’re pretty much done with our new album. The homestretch! It’s called The Suburbs and it comes out August 2nd or August 3rd depending on where you live [UK or US].

Well, that pretty much says it all, except to say that all pre-order packages, which vary from digital downloads to 12” vinyl and limited edition posters, include an instant download of both “Month of May” and the title track, “The Suburbs.” Check out the album cover and stream both new singles in full below:
