Justin Vernon’s sophomore Bon Iver record made its television debut tonight (save for the B-side on Late Night) in the form of a live take on “Calgary,” unveiled following an expectedly hilarious Q&A with The Colbert Report’s own Jack White pal Stephen Colbert. “Your given name is Justin DeYarmond Edison Vernon,” Colbert joked in the interview streaming with the performance above. “You are the only person whose stage name is less pretentious than their real name.” The ever-modest Vernon quips: “Touché.”
