U2´s Larry Mullen Says Bono Pals Around With War Criminals

In an interview with Q magazine, U2’s drummer Larry Mullen Jr. sounded off on Bono’s back-slapping philanthropy with former British PM Tony Blair and lame duck U.S. President George W. Bush. Starpulse reports the sight of the lead singer of his band with the two world leaders makes Mullen “cringe.” More specifically:

Tony Blair is a war criminal and I think he should be tried as a war criminal. Then I see Bono and him as pals and I’m going, ‘I don’t like that’. Do I think George Bush is a war criminal? Probably – but the difference between him and Tony Blair is that Blair is intelligent. So he has no excuse for what he did.

Bono was awarded the “Man of Peace” prize by Nobel peace laureates in Paris three weeks ago.
