Yeah Yeah Yeahs guitarist Nick Zinner, Freshkills singer Zachary Lipez, and art book designer Stacy Wakefield have begun taking pre-orders for their fourth collection of photographs, non-fiction, and design: Please Take Me Off the Guest List. In addition to Zinner’s concert/tour shots, the book includes Lipez-penned essays on his “adventures as a bartender, drug abuser, bookstore clerk, metal fan, miserable adolescent and relentless skirt chaser.”
Though pre-orders are fairly pricey ($50 + shipping), they do come with a few enticing treats, namely a 7” soundtrack to their work, recorded by the trio with “three different bands,” an autographed 4×6 drugstore print from Zinner’s “personal collection,” and an exclusive short story by Lipez called “My Romantic Competition Among the Stalwarts of the Goth and Cold Wave and New Music Community.” While limited pre-orders will ship on or before August August 23, non-limited copies of Please Take Me Off the Guest List will hit shelves in October via Akashic Books.
