Watch: The Low Anthem Play “Apothecary” at Grand Central Terminal

Been meaning to mention this group from near my old stomping grounds for quite awhile, and what better opportunity than with their appearance on the always noteworthy Take Away Show. Whereas many performers on Vincent Moon and La Blogothèque’s timeless web music video series perform at European landmarks, dimly lit dinner tables in the south of France, along the cobblestone streets of Montmartre, or on a Cincinnati rooftop, The Low Anthem’s Jeff Prystowsky, Ben Knox Miller, Jocie Adams, and Mat Davidson opted to sing their gorgeous harmonies amid the hustle and bustle of New York City’s Grand Central Terminal.

Though they also played “This God Damn House” along the Hudson River, their rendition of “Apothecary” in the chaotic Great Hall of Grand Central (the site of my recent holiday panic attack) is truly my jam.
