Though even better news would be an end to their 8-year hiatus, here’s an exciting consolation prize for hungry Fugazi fans: Speaking with World of Fugazi (via Punknews), Guy Picciotto revealed that the band are planning to put (almost) their entire live archive online, with a first collection of shows tentatively set to hit the web later this year or in the beginning of ‘11. “We are not that far away,” revealed Picciotto, “from being able to set up our own website where ultimately almost every show we ever played will be available for download.”
Chunklet’s 40-minute stage banter collection was fun, but 15 years worth of live audio being digitally released by one of the best live punk bands ever is a pretty big deal around here.
