Marissa Nadler Releases Acoustic LP, Covers Record, 2 New Songs

After a pair of metal collaborations with Xasthur and Sailors With Wax Wings, ethereal-voiced folksinger Marissa Nadler has picked up her acoustic guitar again and switched on the vox reverb for a slew of new solo songs. In addition to the digital release of her self-recorded demos for 2009’s Little Hells (“acoustic versions, complete with extremely alternate versions/lyrics of each song”) via Reverb Nation, Nadler is offering a 17-track covers album (with handmade packaging!) on Etsy, hoping to use profits from the release to help finance the production of her forthcoming record. (An all-too-brief tour with Sharon Van Etten is booked for September, as well.)
