Oasis are Going on Hiatus, Sort Of

Oasis have always taken a break for a few years between albums, but this time Noel Gallagher has a solo album on the horizon, so there’s going to be a much longer hiatus. “By the time we make another record we’ll be five years older,” Gallagher told Q magazine (via CHARTattack).

Noel Gallagher also went public with his estrangement from his brother, Liam. As we reported last month, they hardly ever speak to each other, despite going on numerous tours and staying at the same hotels. Liam told 3 News in March, “[Noel] does his thing, and I do my thing. The only time we sort of bump into each other, and that’s rarely, is on stage.”

Well now Noel has spoken out on the subject and he’s a lot more specific. “He’s never seen my little lad, just pictures,” he said. “He’s rude, arrogant, intimidating and lazy. He’s the angriest man you’ll ever meet. He’s like a man with a fork in a world of soup.”
