Red Hot Chili Peppers´ Anthony Kiedis Almost Died of Kidney Failure

The New York Daily News reports Red Hot Chili Peppers frontman Anthony Kiedis was almost placed on an organ transplant list last summer after he just barely escaped kidney failure. His health at that time was described as “bleak.”

The newspaper’s source said, “There was talk of how to get him on a transplant list, to cover all the bases, but that opened up a whole new can of worms because people with histories of drug and alcohol abuse are less likely to receive the organs they need.”

Kiedis is currently recovering, according to their souce, who says, “The general consensus is that the treatments helped, and he’s getting better.”

Reps for Kiedis denied he was having kidney problems, but did not comment on the singer’s possible health scare. For more details, check out the original article here.
