New York Daily News reports country singer Mindy McCready was hospitalized this morning in Nashville after a believed suicide attempt. McCready had wounds to her wrists and had alarmed police by making a suspicious phone call. A Nashville Police spokesperson said,
“We responded to a ‘10-63,’ that’s a suicidal person call. Mindy McCready was at the house. Apparently she called the mother of her roommate and said some things that caused the mother concern. She called authorities. We responded with paramedics, who took her to a local hospital.”
McCready, 33, went to rehab this past summer for what she described as a nervous breakdown. Previously in April, she was interviewed by the FBI as a witness regarding Roger Clemens’ alleged use of performance-enhancing drugs. She and Clemens admitted to an affair during the time in quetion, when she was 15 and he was still married.
