Only hours after the announcement that Kraftwerk will be touring with Radiohead on their upcoming Latin American jaunt, co-founder Florian Schneider has quit the band.
A news posting on the band’s official website reads: “Florian Schneider leaves Kraftwerk after a 40 years partnership with Ralf Hütter…. Our thanks for the state of art that led to Kraftwerk’s music all these years. And our wishes for success Florian’s new projects as well as to this new Kraftwerk.”
Reuters reports the band is still scheduled to go on tour with Radiohead starting March 15th with just one original member.
