Former Static-X Guitarist Sent Back to Jail for Parole Violation

Tod Rex Salvador, aka Tripp Eisen, has been sent back to jail after an undisclosed parole violation. In 2005, Salvador was charged with kidnapping and sexual assault for allegedly having sex with a 14-year-old New Jersey girl he met on the Internet. Blabbermouth reports that police logs indicate Salvador lured the girl to a New Jersey shopping center, claiming that he liked to impersonate “T-Rex,” from the band Static-X, but he was in fact the real T-Rex. He was later convicted of statutory rape and spent time in a California prison up until his release, a year and a half ago.

Static-X fired Salvador from the band immediately following the 2005 charges and replaced him with the band’s original guitarist, Koichi Fukuda. The band simply stated “Tripp is currently dealing with personal issues that prohibit him from being able to fulfill his commitment to the band.”

The Gauntlet reports that Salvador is not scheduled for release until October of this year.
