Corey Daum, aka Corey James, passed away last weekend after a car accident in Nashville. He was 39 years old.
In a Myspace blog post, Lizzy Borden wrote a tribute to their fallen band member, who is the second former guitarist in the band to die in a car accident (Alex Nelson died in a 2004 crash).
“As soon as Corey walked in the room I had high hopes for him,” the band’s post reads. “He was a tall, bone skinny kid with long blonde hair and a giant Colgate smile. He started playing and singing away with no fear and gave it all he had, I liked him immediately and so did everyone else.”
As we previously reported, Lizzy Borden’s current guitarist, Ira Black, is on a hunger strike in an L.A. County prison because they refuse to serve him vegan food.
