New Feist and Ben Gibbard Song to Stream Tomorrow

To promote the upcoming charity compilation, Dark Was The Night, 4AD is streaming one track per day starting yesterday until the February 17 release date. The album, produced by The National’s Aaron and Bryce Dessner, features an all-star lineup of David Byrne, Sufjan Stevens, Arcade Fire, Spoon, My Morning Jacket, Cat Power, Andrew Bird, Blonde Redhead, Iron and Wine, and many more. Tomorrow’s track is Ben Gibbard and Feist’s version of a song made popular by Vashti Bunyan called “Train Song.”

The album “will benefit the Red Hot Organization – an international charity using music as a vehicle to raise money and awareness for HIV and AIDS,” their MySpace page states. They have also posted a free mp3 of yesterday’s song, “Knotty Pine,” by David Byrne and Dirty Projectors.

You can check out the tracklist here to calculate the day your favorite artist(s) will be streaming their track or go to the main page to listen to today’s “Cello Song,” featuring the Books and Jose Gonzalez.
