The Independent reports (via NME) singer Santogold can appreciate negative comments made on her Myspace page because it shows she’s pushing the envelope. She added:
“I did get one message that said ‘I hate your lesbian techno rap.’ When I get stuff like that I know I am doing a good job. It means I am getting people outside of my zone freaked out by the fact that I don’t fit into something they understand. It means I am pushing some boundaries, I guess.”
