Academy Award-winning songwriter Joseph Brooks is suspected in five cases of alleged sexual assault. New York Daily News reports Brooks, 70, has been accused of luring aspiring models and actresses to his New York apartment with postings on Craigslist.
Brooks directed “You Light Up My Life,” and later wrote a hit song by the same name for Debbie Boone to perform. The song has been covered by many artists since, including LeAnn Rimes and Whitney Houston.
