After Rikki Rockett, the former drummer for Poison, placed a Rolex watch on Ebay recently, the Internet went wild with rumors that he was selling off possessions because he is going broke. Rockett has not only denied the rumors, but he even flipped out a little on the press in an expletive-filled rant.
“I decided to sell my 2006 Rolex because I haven’t worn it even once since I got the new one,” Rockett told Blabbermouth. “Now I’m all over the c**p press with people saying like, ‘Oh, he must be broke!’ and bulls**t like that. Do I have to be on the skids (poor) to sell something? Do I have to keep everything I ever bought or in the public eye I’m going broke?” Apparently it’s a touchy subject.
“Geez! I’m far from broke, ya f**kin’ douche bags!” he added. “I’m just unloading a watch because I ain’t wearin’ the f**kin’ thing!”
It is possible Rockett is feeling cantankerous with the press because after he was falsely accused of rape last year, websites ran many headlines about his initial arrest, but few ran follow-up stories when he was exonerated. The perpetrator turned out to be a Rikki Rockett impersonator.
