Steven Adler Arrested on Community Service Violation

Initial reports said that former Guns N’ Roses drummer Steven Adler had been charged with possession of illegal drugs and being under the influence last Monday, but his reps spoke out today, insisting that he was only arrested for violating his community service sentence.

Last Monday’s allegations of “being under the influence of a controlled substance” was only made because he had violated his sentence for a charge he was convicted of in July, reps say. Adler was arrested last Monday while attempting to register as a drug offender and police noticed there was a warrant out for his not completing community service during the court-ordered timeframe. TMZ reports (via Blabbermouth) Adler is out on $50k bail and no court date has been set.

Adler has appeared on multiple VH1 reality shows about drug addiction, including Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew and Sober House.
