Prince To Play 3-Night Stand on Tonight Show

The White Stripes and U2 have both held weeklong residencies on late night television, a stunt that must have caught the eye of Prince. LAist reports that Prince will play March 25, 26, and 27 on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

As we previously reported, Prince’s newest 3 albums are set for a March 29 release exclusively at Target. The Purple One will also be launching his mysterious new site, Lotusflow3r.com, later this month with a subscription service that offers live videos spanning most of his career.

Prince’s 3-night stand on Jay Leno’s Tonight Show occurs only 2 months prior to Leno’s final episode on May 29 before Conan O’Brien becomes the show’s host on the following Monday (Jun 1).

Update: Billboard reports, “Prince will also perform a fourth night on the Tonight Show, May 28th, in celebration of the end of Leno’s run as host of the show.”
