Eminem Responds to Nick Cannon Feud

You’ve probably heard by now that when Nick Cannon heard Eminem’s new Mariah Carey diss track “Bagpipes from Baghdad,” he saw red and posted a now-deleted rap beef declaration, calling Eminem a racist, sexist “Slim Lamey.” Eminem was asked about the rant in an interview recently with BBC1’s Tim Westwood and he reacted by being smarmy and contradictory.

“I spazzed out on that record,” Em concedes. “There’s a line on there that’s a little harsh. It’s a harsh line. I had no idea that he wasn’t going to take it like he took it. I had no idea that Nick Cannon was gonna start wil’n out on me. No pun intended.” Has Eminem ever said an unintended pun?

Here’s the smarmy/contradictory part. First Em said he had “no idea” that Cannon would take the track personally, but he then added, “At the end of the day, he’s supposed to defend his wife. I expected him to do that, you know what I mean… it’s a line I said. It’s a song. What I actually meant to say is ‘I wish them the best.’”
