Today’s Tidbits: Reznor/Maandig Marry, Tweedy Auditions, & Coyne Talks Arcade Fire

Trent Reznor married his fiancée of five months, Mariqueen Maandig, this past weekend. NIN collaborator Danny Lohner first broke the news on Twitter by posting a blurry picture of the couple dancing after tweeting earlier: “goths the world over will mourn this day- off to a wedding…” The scoop, however, goes to Pink is the New Blog’s Trent Vargas, who attended the wedding (invitations were inscribed with pseudo NIN lyrics, “Nothing can stop us now…”). The latter Trent even has the wedding photo.

So did you see Where The Wild Things Are this weekend? Well, if you did, you probably enjoyed the performance of the film’s star Max Records, but little did you know that Jeff Tweedy’s precocious son, Spencer, also took a crack at the potential breakthrough role. Tweedy dropped the news on his blog (via daverawkblog).

Thought the Arcade Fire/Wayne Coyne feud had blown over after Win Butler responded, Coyne apologized, took back his apology, and then all went silent. Well the subject came up again in an interview with The Independent and Coyne just can’t get over how ungrateful Arcade Fire are for their success. Yeah, we could elaborate, but isn’t it time for these guys to hug it out? A duet or something might help bury the hatchet. In the meantime, check out the Flaming Lips debuting their Pink Floyd cover of “Eclipse” thataway.
